Understanding import vs export routing

How container movement direction differs between import and export bookings.

Import and export container bookings move in opposite directions, and each has two tracked legs per container.

Movements are gated

The second movement can't complete until its linked warehouse job reaches the right status — put away for imports, dispatched for exports.

Import routing

The first movement takes a full container from the wharf to your warehouse or customer. The second movement takes the now-empty container from there to an empty park.

Export routing

The first movement takes an empty container from an empty park to your warehouse or customer. The second movement takes the now-full container from there to the wharf.
